Team Bonding Activities
Fantastic Flying Machines is a fun and creative team bonding activity that can be run indoors or out.
The task involves the group working in small teams to design and build
a glider with a wide range of materials such as paper, wood, plastic,
tape etc. Teams are given criteria, which the plane will be judged
against, such as distance of flight, originality of design, wingspan
and artistic appeal!It is great fun, particularly in the final testing where teams have to first explain “Why their glider is the best” followed by testing in flight. Sometimes we get spectacularly long flights, and at other times despite the team’s pitch to be the best, you get just as spectacular flops!
This activity unleashes the creative side of the participants and combined with music and a Poweroint presentation that structures the session, it is designed to complement conference themes where there is a focus on team building, effective use of resources, working within criteria, and the need for creativity and innovation.
