The group is split into sub-teams, which replicates the workplace situation and ensures everyone is involved and engaged! Here are just a few examples of activities we use, which can be set up in just about any area of open space: The "Star" The Star is good for discussing the behaviours that supports silo mentality in the workplace and visibly demonstrates the need to co-operate and network within and between different departments. It is a powerful inter-active activity that highlights the need for small teams to co-ordinate and share resources (people/materials) in order to achieve a common goal! It is a logistical task that initially polarises teams around competition! However, as the activity unfolds teams realise that in order to succeed they must form alliances to achieve their goal.
