Diversity in the workplace

"Diversity!"

This activity gives individuals and groups a picture of their thinking style preferences and points the way toward working together more effectively and productively.

The activity uses a card sort methodology, the cards describe behaviour traits, and are colour coded, representing the four quadrants of brain function: Cerebral, Limbic, Left and Right Mode.

The activity starts with each participant being randomly distributes five cards. Each participant then arranges their cards in order, starting with the card that best describes them and ending with the card that is least like them. The next step is to move around the group and swap cards to “improve their hand”. Finally, the group can have an open choice to choose the cards that they believe best describes them, from a full deck.
